Training

Proud2Be offers bespoke training to schools in the UK, designed and facilitated by founders Jae & Max Price. Both are qualified trainers, with experience delivering to youth workers, teachers, trainee counsellors, business mentors and volunteers.

Proud2Be have previously worked with a number of schools, colleges, youth groups and pupil referral units in Devon, Cornwall, Buckinghamshire & West Midlands.

Anti-HBT Bullying

Proud2Be is one of 12 organisations that will be delivering a new LGBT+ schools project over the next 2 and a half years. The partnership is led by LGBT consortium and funded by the Government Equalities Office.

Proud2Be will work with 25 schools across Devon, in conjunction with young LGBT+ people, to help school staff understand and tackle homophobic, biphobic &/or transphobic bullying and provide more supportive school environments for LGBT+ young people.

Equality & Diversity

We deliver Equality & Diversity training sessions to school staff, providing them with:

  • an understanding of what equality and diversity are and why they are important
  • an awareness of the key legislation and its implications
  • ways to break down barriers to equality and diversity – prejudice, preconceptions and stereotypes
  • some key tips and guidelines for actively promoting equality and diversity

LGBT+ Awareness

We deliver full and half day LGBT+ Awareness training to provide school staff with:

  • an awareness and understanding of LGBT+ issues
  • an awareness of discrimination, prejudice and stereotypes and the affect they have on individuals and communities
  • an understanding of correct terms and language to use
  • some key tips and guidelines on how to make your organisation LGBT+ friendly and in line with current equality legislation
